At LRP Recycling, we continue to support the hospitality industry in reducing waste and implementing sustainable solutions. Our latest project at Park South Hotel Hyatt in New York City ensured the eco-friendly recycling of 65 king sets and 65 queen sets, keeping waste out of landfills and benefiting the environment.
Reducing Waste & Maximizing Sustainability
Hotels frequently replace their mattresses to maintain guest comfort, but without proper disposal, these materials contribute to unnecessary landfill waste. Park South Hotel Hyatt took a proactive approach by partnering with LRP Recycling for responsible mattress recycling.
This project alone resulted in:✅ 26,325 pounds of material diverted from landfills✅ 130,000 gallons of water saved – enough to meet the daily needs of hundreds of people✅ 780 days of energy conserved – powering an average home for over two years✅ 1,040 tanks of gas saved – significantly reducing carbon emissions
